Good News-Details from Rob

After being on pins and needles the last few days, today's appointment could not have come any sooner. I know how I get and I cannot even begin to understand Teresa's emotions. However, it was a huge relief when he told us that the CA 27-29 marker had decreased. It went from 320 in July to 215 today. Her calcium is also staying within acceptable range. It was 9.1 today along with normal liver functions, etc. As a result of the positive test results, there will be no need for any kind of chemo for another six weeks. She will continue to take the Femara daily. Dr. Gupta told us that his goal is for the marker to remain in check for several months. This is great news and we are thankful for all the prayers. There is no doubt that they have been answered up to this point. Please continue to keep all of us in your prayers. It is our hope that the cancer can be kept at bay and that Teresa can be the mom that she wants to be to the girls. Thank you again for all of your love, support and prayers. We are blessed to have you all in our lives.

GOOD NEWS!

I just got off the phone with Teresa. She got wonderful news. Her numbers had dropped (even without having done chemo in the last 6 weeks). She has no new tumors. She gets another 6 weeks (at least off) and then they will check her again. God is good. He told her to keep doing whatever she is doing. It is your prayers! Keep praying! Rob will send more info later...I just wanted to get this out ASAP! Yay!

CA 27-29 Blood Test for Tumor Marker Levels Tomorrow

I just wanted to let you all know that I am getting the CA 27 - 29 blood test done on Tuesday, September 1st. This test checks my tumor marker levels. We are praying that the results will show that there has been no major change since the last test I had done at the end of July. That would mean that the tumors are still contained in the liver and have not gotten any bigger. I meet with my oncologist, Dr. Gupta, on Wednesday, September 2nd at 3:20 to discuss the results and next steps. Please continue to pray for us, especially as we await the results of this important test.

I also wanted to ask for prayers for J.D. Taylor and his family. J.D. is an 8th grader at Northridge Middle School that is battling cancer. He was most recently diagnosed with inoperable tumors on his spine. Please keep this family in your prayers as they go through this tough time.

Sincerely,
Teresa
